It’s my birthday! As I said before, I’m not big on birthdays, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want an awesome birthday cake! It’s my birthday weekend, yay! Birthdays don’t really excite me, I’m not exactly “bah humbug” about them but they’re just not really a big deal for me, I don’t do much to celebrate these days. Easter sneaked up on me this year, it always does when we have it early! I know the date of Easter is decided by the equinox (I think?) but I do wish it was the same date every year, because I just get confused! So I was a bit late baking something for Easter to share with you guys, but there’s still a week to go and plenty of time for you to bake up these amazing brownies! Or, if you have your Easter baking planned, take advantage of all the discounted Easter chocolate on April 7th and bake these after! Either way, everybody is gonna love them!

Do you ever feel so overwhelmingly busy but you really don’t actually have that much to do? That’s how I’ve been feeling this week! I think it’s because I’ve been a bit under the weather so every little thing feels like a massive chore, I just sit and think about the things I need to do – like write this post, edit photos, take photos, bake Easter treats… then of course my actual job – and it feels like I’m planning to climb Mount Everest, it all just seems like way too much effort! But today I am feeling a little less poorly and a little more ready to take on the world… or this post at least. I also baked something for Easter today so I’m totally getting on top of things!

Is it just me or does this winter seem to be dragging on forever? We’ve been pretty lucky here in my part of the UK, we barely had any snow so I can’t complain too much. But the days are just so grey and dreary, it’s becoming very depressing. Trying to take decent photos in this weather is not a fun task either. The sun is out today though so I’m happy! We did have a solar eclipse this morning (that I slept through, oops!) so I think the sun may be protesting over the moon stealing it’s light! Did anybody see it? I think it was only visible in parts of Europe, and you only got the full effect if you’re very north like Scotland and Norway.
