Being a food blogger is hard work. There’s the recipe planing, the recipe testing, the photographing, editing the photos, writing the post. A lot goes into these humble little posts. But I think the hardest part is coming up with the recipe name! Especially for something as over the top as these beauties! I mean, if it’s a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting, that’s easy. But when so many layers make up the final product, each as delicious as the next, how do you decide on a name that does it justice and really tells your readers what they’re in for, without writing an essay as a title? I swear, naming a child would be easier sometimes.  Hopefully my final recipe title has captured the deliciousness of these cookie dough brownie bombs that I’m about to share with you!

Summer officially starts next week apparently, you wouldn’t know it in London though. The last couple of weeks have been so wet and miserable… actually, that sounds A LOT like a British summer! The worst part it is still warm out, so being outside is very unpleasant. I love going for walks around my new neighbourhood because the area I live in is so pretty. I’ve just wanted to stay inside as much as possible tately to avoid that thick, wet air! Luckily, there’s plenty to keep me busy inside, like baking these amazing shortbread cookies. Although I knew these little cookies were gonna be good (sweet and spicy is just my fave!) even I was blown away by the taste! recently started yoga which is keeping me active inside, I’m not very good at it but I hope it’s at least burning off some of the delicious shortbread calories!

Nutella Stuffed Shakoy {Twisted Donuts} - Fluffy twisted donuts, crispy on the outside and stuffed full of Nutella. Really delicious and so quick and easy to make (only one 15 minute rise needed), these Filipino fried treats will not disappoint!

I have to warn you, these twisted donuts are dangerous! They’re yeast risen but they take hardly any time at all to make, you only need one 15 minute rise – something this delicious just shouldn’t be so easy to make, it’s not good for my waistline! These amazing fried treats were introduced to me by my good friend, Jhuls, who blogs over at The Not So Creative Cook. Don’t let the name fool you, she’s very creative and has some incredible recipes, make sure you check them out. When I saw her Shakoy recipe it went straight to the top of my “MUST make” list. This is Jhuls’ recipe that I have adapted, and I use the word “adapt” very loosely, the only real difference I made is I stuffed them with Nutella – because it’s been too long since I made anything with Nutella!
